Kyndi (formerly Medway Control Centre), had been operating since 1987. In its early days, it monitored a small number of social alarms for the City of Rochester Council and Gillingham Council. When the two merged into a Unitary Authority in 1998, 20 car park cameras were introduced into our control centre.
From home care lifelines, pendants and sensors to recruitment solutions and monitoring solutions, Kyndi strives to deliver the highest quality, best value services which offer ease of mind to its clients.
In a bid to deliver a new, emerging vision the new bold name and brand ‘Kyndi’ (Kyndi, means ‘kind’ in old Norse and also, fittingly for a Medway Valley-based organisation, “Kent River Valley” in old English), has seen significant changes to our proposition and position within the home care sector; the cornerstone of which is to ease the worry of carers and the cared for through the provision of technology to enable independent, worry free living at home for longer.
